Independence, Adventure, Purpose & Joy

We were all born to live, love, discover and explore – to shine like stars in the universe – to experience and be a part of the miracle of creation. Yet we all face challenges that must be overcome to reach our full potential.  No matter who you are or what you’re confronted with – whether your challenges are physical, motivational, emotional, or just the complexities of life – we hope to inspire you and offer some guidance for your journey in our own unique way.

It’s a fact that everyone’s journey has a humble beginning.  As infants, we’re dependent on those who care for us and teach us how to survive in this world.  Yet it’s human nature to seek meaning and purpose, and to strive for independence.  With a little adventure along the way, most of us will get there in the end.  And if we do, we not only find contentment in our purpose, but also joy – in the destination, and along the way.

Independence is just as important for individuals with disabilities as it is for everyone else.  Some people’s lives are just more complicated.  Some people just need to be a little more creative in their approach. So, to reach independence and discover meaning, find joy in who you are, no matter who you are, no matter where you are, it might involve a few tricks.

We encourage you to seek to make the best of your circumstances, to live a meaningful life, and to embrace the beauty in the world and the opportunities around you, and it all starts with your inner journey.

That’s why this is partly a meditation blog.  It’s partly a self-help blog full of tricks for you to try.  It’s partly a travel blog, but it’s not about any of our outward journeys as much as it is about the inward journey we have lived.  Ultimately, it’s about your inward journey and what you can learn from us.  We hope to inspire you with possibilities and a little practical know-how. We’re happy for you to join us!
